What’s the Point of Blogs?

…when most of them just recombine available information?

Back in middle school, I aspired to be original, even when I was assigned informative papers. I wanted to do original research or come up with an original opinion, or it felt pointless. As you can imagine, this wasn’t a great strategy, since teachers don’t enjoy op-eds on ‘rainforest biomes’ by tweens.
